Skilled hands at work, captured for robot learning

We film experienced tradespeople through smart glasses while they narrate their work, then turn it into training data for robots. Our first dataset covers cable work.

First dataset: cable work

Cables bend, twist and spring back, which makes this some of the hardest manipulation work to automate.

Wire harness assembly

Routing wires across a formboard, inserting terminals into connectors, then taping, clipping and sleeving each branch.

Control cabinet wiring

Stripping conductors, crimping ferrules, routing through cable ducts and terminating on DIN-rail components.

How it works

  1. 01
    Step / 01

    Capture

Operators wear camera glasses during real shifts and talk through what they're doing. Production keeps running.

  2. 02
    VIDEOHAND POSESTEPS + TRANSCRIPT
    Step / 02

    Annotate

Every take is layered with hand pose, step labels, a time-aligned transcript and the electrical test result.

  3. 03
    Step / 03

    Deliver

You get training-ready data in your format, built to teach robots the same task on the same kind of board.

Every take, fully instrumented

What the operator sees, what they say, and whether the result works.

  • First-person video

Smart-glasses footage with both hands tracked, 21 joints per hand.

  • Spoken commentary

Operators explain each step. Transcript aligned to the timeline.

  • Verified outcome

Electrical pass/fail on every build. Mistakes flagged, not cut.

500 hours, built for breadth and depth

Breadth for general-purpose models, depth for single-task policies.

Cabinet wiring150Production panels across terminal blocks, relays, contactors and breakers.
Repeat set50One high-volume harness, recorded across hundreds of builds, for single-task policy training and evaluation.

Delivered as MP4 with JSON annotations, or converted to LeRobot or RLDS. Early partners can shape the mix.

Recorded on real production work

Operators wear the glasses during their normal shifts at partner harness plants and panel shops. Real parts, real deadlines, real mistakes.

  • Consent first

Operators opt in, are paid for every recorded hour, and can stop recording at any time.

  • Partner-approved footage

Each site reviews what we keep. Part numbers, drawings and coworkers' faces are blurred before delivery.

  • Natural variety

Different plants, products and operators, so the data reflects how the work is really done.
